Tequila Prawns

Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Combine the first ten ingredients in a medium bowl. Add the prawns and allow to marinate for 30minutes.
  2. Drain the prawns from the marinade. Heat a large frying pan on high heat.  Once hot add 1/2 of the prawns and cook for approx 3 minutes or until cooked through and starting to brown.  Cook the remaining prawns.
  3. Serve hot as an appetiser with some tequila shots for fun or make a meal out of it and serve with coconut rice. ENJOY!

Ingredients list

  • 2 Tbsp tequila
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 fresh jalapeño, finely diced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 250gm raw prawns
